Beacon

Save to Beacon from Safari and other apps

Save a page or link to Beacon from the Share sheet on iPhone, iPad and Mac, without opening Beacon.

Beacon is in the Share sheet wherever you can share a page or a link: Safari, Mail, Messages and most other apps. Choosing it saves the page to Beacon in one tap.

  1. Choose Share in Safari or another app.
  2. Choose Beacon. On iPhone and iPad, if you do not see it, swipe along the row of apps and choose More to add it.
  3. A small “Saved to Beacon” card confirms it, and the sheet closes by itself.

The page appears in Saved the next time Beacon opens, or straight away if it is already running. Safari passes on the page’s title, description and picture; links from other apps get theirs from the page afterwards.

If the page is an article from a feed you follow, it is saved as that article rather than as a copy. Saving never removes anything from Saved.

Saving from the Share sheet needs an active trial, subscription or Pay Once, as other changes to your library do.
