Installing and updating a TestFlight preview

Accept an invitation, get the latest beta and send useful feedback to the private-preview team.

Private previews use Apple’s TestFlight app. You need an invitation for the app you are testing and iOS 26, iPadOS 26 or macOS 26 or later.

Install or update

Install TestFlight, open your invitation on the device you want to use, and choose View in TestFlight. Accept the invitation and install the app. Returning testers can choose Update from its TestFlight page. See Apple’s TestFlight guide.

Check What to Test and the version and build number after updating. Automatic Updates can be enabled on the app’s TestFlight page.

Missing or expired builds

Apple limits each build to up to 90 days. Check for an update in TestFlight. If no compatible build is offered, email beta@wellscode.com with the app, device and OS version. Check Junk if an invitation has not arrived.

Feedback and access

Use TestFlight’s feedback controls, or email beta@wellscode.com with the build number, what happened and the steps to reproduce it. Review screenshots before sending. TestFlight feedback is also shared with Apple.

Current Wells Code preview builds have beta access enabled. This is separate from the launch site’s free trial, subscriptions and Pay Once; a beta invitation is not an App Store purchase.
